Amazon forest

AMAZON FOREST            We all know the fact that the Amazon is the largest forest in the world. Comparing to India, the Amazon is larger in its size. It is a moist broad leaf tropical forest which covers more than 40% of South America. It is particularly called as the 'Lungs of the world' as it sucks up global emission of carbon di oxide and gives oxygen. 20% of the world's oxygen comes from Amazon forest.             Nine  countries  share the  Amazon   basin —most of the  rainforest , 58.4%, is contained within the borders of Brazil. The  other  eight  countries include Peru, Columbia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guyana and Ecuador.  It comprises the m ost diverse tract of tropical rainforest in the world with an estimated 390 billion individual trees divided into 16000 species.           It is...
